COVID-19 Update + Postponed Events List

All events at Meridian Hall, the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, and the Meridian Arts Centre adhere to the health guidelines set forth by the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario.

The health and safety of patrons, staff, and community is TO Live’s top priority.

Suspension of Live Events

Per the directive of the Government of Ontario, TO Live’s venues are currently closed for in-person events until January 26 2022.

If you have tickets for an event scheduled in this period, please be aware that TO Live is working with our event providers to determine next steps, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to outline your options. Additionally, you can check regularly with the event page on our website where information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.

We share your disappointment with this news, but understand the necessity of ensuring public health and safety through these measures. We look forward to welcoming you back to in-person events as soon as these restrictions are lifted.

Proof of Vaccination

Upon the return to in-person events and until further notice, the Government of Ontario has mandated that full COVID-19 vaccination will be required to access specific indoor settings. This includes all of TO Live’s venues. For as long as this restriction is in place, attendees to indoor events at TO Live venues will need to provide proof of full vaccination to enter the building. For more information on this requirement from the province’s website, click here.

Key Points:

  • What does “full vaccination” mean?  People are considered fully vaccinated at least 14 days after receiving the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by World Health Organization (e.g., two doses of a two-dose vaccine series, or one dose of a single-dose vaccine series).
  • How do I prove I am fully vaccinated?  The Government of Ontario has launched an Enhanced Vaccine Certificate for all Ontarians who received their vaccination within the province. You can download your enhanced certificate from the provincial vaccination portal, or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900. Those who received their vaccination out of province should contact their local health unit to receive proper documentation.
  • Can I use the receipt I received when I got vaccinated to gain entry?  As of January 4 2022, the enhanced vaccine certificate with official QR code will be required enter any TO Live venue. Vaccine receipts without a QR code will no longer be accepted as valid proof of vaccination.
  • I have a QR code of my vaccination proof which I downloaded from grassroots.vaccine-ontario.ca – can I use that at the venue?  The utility found at grassroots.vaccine-ontario.ca is not managed by the Government of Ontario, and the QR codes generated by that utility will not be accepted as proof of vaccination. Please ensure you download your enhanced certificate using the vaccination portal link above.
  • Are there any exemptions?  Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a doctor’s note. For full details on medical exemptions, click here. Additionally, individuals ages 11 and under are exempt.

Anyone with additional questions should visit the province’s proof of vaccination FAQ site, or contact the TO Live Box Office using the information below.

Additional Restrictions, Precautions and Safety Measures

Please take note of the following information to help you plan your visit to our venues:

  • A face mask covering the mouth, nose and chin must be worn at all times while inside the venue.
  • Until further notice, no food or drink will be sold, served or permitted inside the venue.
  • Audience members must remain seated at all times while watching the performance.
  • Before coming to the venue, we ask all patrons to visit the screening page found here and ensure that none of the conditions apply to you.
  • When entering the building, patrons will need to successfully pass through a Health Canada licensed fever detection system. This system is a simple walkthrough arch using multiple infrared thermal sensors to detect potential threats.
  • We strongly encourage you to arrive early, as there may be delays at entry due to screening measures.
  • A minimum of 2 Metres distance must be maintained between performers and audience members at all times, except where a plexiglass barrier is in place.
